More weed control

BASF has received approval to expand its Accord herbicide label to include barley.

Accord’s main features are its control of foxtail, including Group one and three resistant biotypes and season-long control of cleavers.

It has also launched Banvel II with an improved formulation for use on cereals and corn.

Its lower volatility allows growers to be confident about spraying close to oilseeds and specialty crops.

Banvel II can be used as pre-plant mix with Roundup to improve control of tough weeds such as wild buckwheat and kochia.
