High-moisture bale
Vermeer has introduced a round baler that harvests both dry and high-moisture hay. The new baler can customize both the size and weight of bales.
Bale weight can be pre-selected by varying the pneumatic-hydraulic belt tension, by adjusting the hydraulic density or the pneumatic pressure setting. Maximum bale size is 1.8 m by 1.2 m. Dry material bales weigh up to 865 kilograms, but will weigh significantly more when the 604K is equipped with the optional silage baling kit.
A floating five-bar pickup is height-adjustable, while spring action rubber-mounted tines provide nearly 25 percent more lifting power as hay is fed into the chamber – important when working in heavier material. A bale ejection system allows operators to empty the bale chamber and start a new bale without disengaging the p.t.o.

Three-in-one
Kubota’s L35 tractor/loader/backhoe is powered by a 35 horsepower Kubota E-TVCS diesel engine. The compact design allows a minimum turning radius of 2.5 m and a total weight of 2,727 kg in the tractor/loader/backhoe format. Eight-speed hydraulic-shifting mechanical transmission permits both clutchless gear and shuttle shifting.
Maximum lift capacity of the TL720 loader is 752 kg. A single-lever design incorporates automatic bucket self-levelling. The BT900 backhoe digs to a maximum depth of 2.8 m with 2,260 kg of bucket cylinder breakout force.
