Discbine mower-conditioner
New Holland’s model 1411 discbine mower-conditioner cuts a 3.15 metre (10 ft., four in.) swath in heavy or light crops. Ant hills and mole hills don’t plug the bar and heavy, lodged crops are cut cleanly without slowing down.
The 1411’s cutterbar design is new. Each disc and its drive are independent, sealed modules. Their design helps prevent damage to the cutterbar if a hidden, unyielding object is accidentally hit. Cutting discs are smaller in diameter and have a steeper profile to lift the crop onto the conditioning rollers.

Width is adjustable from a 91 cm (36 in.) windrow to a 2.1 metre (84 in.) swath. A new bent-tongue design using three constant velocity U-joints allows the mower to cut on any angle like a swivel hitch, but at a lower cost. No three-point hitch or drawbar extension is needed for the tractor.

Alberta-built horse trailers
Stock Box Inc., a new Alberta manufacturer, is using high-tech metal fabrication and industrial coatings to make a different breed of horse trailer. Computer-assisted production allows a modular design. Components are pre-formed and made of pre-painted galvanized steel or aluminum.
Each piece is finished with a baked-on coat of powdered paint, ensuring a paint barrier on all surfaces which helps prevent rusting. All trailers are built on a hot-dipped galvanized frame with stainless steel fasteners and hardware for durability and better resale value.
