Air drill
Morris Industries’ Maxim II air drill features offset dual gauge wheels on wing sections as well as on the main frame.
Morris says the dual wheels walk over clumps and rocks, reducing frame bounce for consistent seeding depth.
The new heavy-duty one-inch shank keeps the ground openers parallel and in the ground for optimum seed and input placement when using Morris’ dual shoot openers. A new single point wing latch securely fastens the wings in transport.

Power take-off generators
CSA-approved power take-off generators are being offered by EST/Energy Sustaining Technologies, technical sales agents for Sommers Motor Generator Sales Ltd. of Tavistock, Ont.
Models are available from 10 kW to 130 kW in single-phase voltage and up to 150 kW three phase in 600 volt and broad range (120-480 volts) configurations.
Some power units are based on the Newage-Stamford industrial two-thirds pitch alternator design.
They feature solid state electronic controls with voltage regulation within one percent and permanent magnet exciters for high-motor horsepower-starting capability and low wave form distortion for smooth power flow to computerized loads. All models feature a large farm-duty cast-iron gearbox, oversize bearings and high efficiency, long-life helical gears.
The company also offers double-throw transfer switches to meet the mandatory safety requirement of isolating standby generators from the utility grid.

Auger flow kit
Calmar Industries has a new product for use at harvest.
The Flow Control Kit is an extension for augers, allowing the flow of grain to be directed to all areas of the truck box or grain cart without splash, spillage or wind loss. The heavy-duty polyethylene unit fits all top and bottom swing augers, 10 to 14 inches in diameter. It concentrates but does not restrict grain flow and there is a built in pressure release.
The swivel mount allows it to swing away if bumped by a vehicle.

Air seeder
Case IH has a new air seeding system. The ADX air system delivers seed and fertilizer and handles a range of seed sizes from grasses to peas.
The down draft metering concept improves efficiency by preventing material from building above the meter. The operator can quickly shift among three options: single, double or triple shoot. It is used with Case IH Concord seeding tools.
Capacities range from 180 to 360 bushels.
Models ASX2180 and 2230 have two compartments while the ADX3360 has three tanks.
For more information contact a Case IH dealer or view the website www.caseih.com.
Product registered
Gustafson has received registration for use of Raxil FL to control loose smut in oats. It was previously registered for use on wheat and barley.
It will control all major diseases in wheat, barley and oats, including loose smut, covered smut, false loose smut, seed and soil-borne common bunt, leaf stripe, common root rot, and seed and soil-borne fusarium.
Planting system
Morris Industries says its Aero Planter system for row crops uses air delivery and high-capacity centralized tanks to accurately plant corn and zone-place fertilizer quicker than conventional planters.
An added benefit of the centralized tanks is that by not placing additional weight on the tool bar, there is consistent pressure on the openers.
The multi-purpose air cart adapts to various seeding tools to plant an entire crop rotation, whether it’s corn, soybeans or wheat.
