Respirator masks

Gempler’s has introduced disposable respirator masks in three sizes.

With the proper fit, Gempler’s N95 particulate respirator traps 95 percent of non-oil particulates.

It protects against oil-free toxic dust, moldy grain and hay, low-toxicity pesticides and airborne allergens. The respirator exhalation valve allows warm exhaled air to be removed quickly, preventing fogging of glasses. The nose cushion achieves a better seal over the bridge of the nose and each size face piece has a color-coded nose band for easy identification. The company offers a sample box of all three sizes to help determine which fits best.

Cleaner bins

D&R Manufacturing of Fiske, Sask., has introduced a new line of unloading equipment to go with its steel bin floor line.

The company says the system allows almost total cleanout at a fraction of the cost of hopper bottoms.

The Pyramid and Pit are designed to bolt on to new or existing steel floors and work with existing sweeps or the company’s new adjustable bin sweep.

The steel Pyramid is installed under the bin door, eliminating the need to shovel beneath the auger by the door.

The Pit is a steel hopper attached to the middle of the bin floor. This allows the material to be swept directly into the hopper, eliminating the shoveling around the auger.

The bin sweep is made in two sections, and can be used in bins ranging from four to 5.5 metres (14 to 19 feet) in diameter while an additional section can be added for bins up to eight m (25 ft.) in diameter.

Bale processor

Haybuster has introduced the S-2000 Balebuster for large square and rectangular bales.

The unit processes bales up to 2.75 metres (nine feet long). Its spring steel flails pull and cut each bale flake apart to process hay into a palatable ration. It is self loading and able to carry two bales at once.

Removing twine from the bale prior to processing is the operator’s choice, not a requirement for proper operation. The hay ration can be delivered into a variety of feed bunk styles or into a windrow on the ground. It also spreads straw more than 15 m for bedding.
