VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

The all-wheel steer, four-wheel drive unit is equipped with a 44 horsepower Kubota diesel engine.

The suspension adjusts flex and axle oscillation according to the type of load carried.

There is a two-speed, hydrostatic drive system that can be shifted on the go, providing a top speed of almost 30 km-h.

The hydraulic system provides 17 gallons per minute and 3,000 pounds per sq. inch of flow to run attachments. The box can accommodate up to 2,000 lb.

Attachments include a mower, box blade, bucket, pallet forks, grapple and snow blower.

Hay conditioner option

MacDon now offers a new Conditioner Roll Opener option for its 2003 model 722 hay conditioners that mount to its auger headers.

This option is designed for producers who seek uninterrupted cutting and the convenience of not having to leave the cab to unplug the conditioner rolls.

To engage the opener, the operator flicks a switch in the cab, which engages the hydraulic cylinder to open the rolls.

Once the plug is fed through, the rolls automatically resume their original position to maintain uniform conditioning action.

Air drill

The new SDX40 single disk, no-till air drill from Case IH is designed for producers with large acreage and high residue conditions.

Seeding depth adjustments can be made from the front or back of the machine without tools. A handle is moved to the desired setting, from zero to 3.5 inches in quarter inch increments.

Down pressure can be adjusted from 250 to 510 pounds per opener.

The disks are 22.5 inches at a five degree angle to cut through residue. With the help of a wear resistant steel scraper, a 1.25-inch seed furrow is formed.

Packers can be moved to pack directly over the row or up to two inches to the side.

The SDX has a secondary manifold on the drill frame. An air completion package runs from the primary manifold under the air system to the quick connection between the cart and drill.

The SDX40 is also compatible with Concord air systems.
