Pulse crop header
The Norton Twin Flex combine pickup, designed for pulse crop harvesting, is a new release by Dutch Industries Ltd.
The header has a quickdetach mounting bracket for easy removal and installation, pickup teeth that lift lodged or flattened crop or vines off the ground and pickup aprons with guiding ribs to offer better traction to a flat roller design.
Other features include an apron with no gaps at the sides to minimize crop loss, angled pickups that grab crop mat, coulters that slice through tough pulse vines and heavy duty hydraulic drive with on-the-go variable speed adjustment.

Drill improves accuracy
The 1520 Integral Drill from John Deere holds up to 67 percent more seed than earlier models and has more accurate seed placement.
The 1520 replaces the 515 and 520 series, and is available in the 4.5 and six-metre (15 and 20-foot) seeding widths. The grain boxes hold 42 and 40 bushels respectively. Double-disk furrow openers have quarter-inch offset for better soil penetration, and a choice of 15, 19 or 25 centimetre (six, 7.5 and 10-inch) opener spacing is available.
The optional hydraulic down-pressure system allows the operator to set down-pressure across the drill for more consistent penetration according to varying field conditions.
There is a depth-gauging press wheel on each opener for accurate seed depth and depth can be set in 14 mm increments up to nine centimetres. Five different press wheel styles are available.
