Disc ripper
Glencoe has three new heavy disc rippers to cut and mix soil and
residue down to six inches and subsoil to 18 inches in one pass.
All feature 22 x 1/4-inch disc blades with 20 inch feathering blades
and extra wide scrapers to prevent soil buildup. The disc-gang design
allows settings of 10, 15 or 20 degrees to vary surface residue
retention.
The DR 8500 has two double offset tandem disc gangs in front followed
by deep tilling shanks that leave a coarse soil surface. The DR 8700

Pulse seed treatment
Graham Seed Farms has two new seed treating systems for pulses such as
chickpeas, peas, lentils, beans and soybeans.
They combine the accuracy and throughput of the G3 applicator with a
set of remote controls and secondary mixers.
They are designed for just-in-time treating by retailers. The seed is
treated as it is being sent to the field.
The G3 1100 system incorporates a feed hopper to store mini-bulk
volumes, auto shut-off controls, a grain flow controller for seed rate
control to the G3 applicator, and two tube secondary mixers.
The P40 bulk system uses tube conveyor feeds and discharges for systems
where seed is stored in bulk bins. A feed tube inlet gate controls seed
flow while the discharge tube adds drip pans and a discharge mixer for
higher delivered finish.
