Portable detacher
A new portable detacher from Surge calculates and displays milk yield data for each cow and shows the information on a readable LED display. The detacher is also able to track milking time for each cow and can calculate total yield data for all cows milked. The lightweight, vacuum-operated portable unit automatically detaches and retracts from the cow. A fixed milk let-down delay of 60 seconds helps prevent premature detaching, while end-of-milk delay can be customized for each operation.

Upgraded chain saw
Stihl has introduced the Stihl 046 chain saw. The chain saw, which is available in an arctic version, is designed to perform in all temperatures. The 77 cubic centimetre engine displacement provides high torque.
The 046 is equipped with an inertia-activated chain brake, single-lever master control Elastostart handle and Stihl’s oilomatic chain. The 046’s carburetor system automatically compensates for a dirty or clogged air filter, helping to keep engine r.p.m.s up and maintenance time down. An improved filtration system means increased filter capacity and more time between cleanings.
