Rectangular bales
The 4760 baler from Hesston produces rectangular bales that are 0.8
metres wide by 0.875 m high by up to 2.5 m long.
It is designed for a 90 horsepower or larger tractor with 1,000 rpm pto
and two double-acting hydraulic remotes.
The in-line design moves the crop in a straight line from the pickup to
the bale chute.
A microprocessor-based electronic monitoring system with
tractor-mounted control displays all baler functions and lets the
operator make on-the-go adjustments of bale density and accumulator.

Irrigation machines
Lindsay Manufacturing has expanded its Greenfield brand with three
hard-hose traveller irrigation machines.
Their mobility and versatility make them appropriate for specialized
uses, particularly in small, confined situations where conventional
centre-pivot or lateral-move systems might not be practical.
They feature a turbine-powered spray system that enables more precise
application and prevents the splashing and flooding associated with
piston-operated machines.

Fungicide registered
Dithane DG Rainshield is now registered for lentils.
The Dow AgroSciences product is a foliar contact fungicide designed to
manage ascochyta blight and anthracnose in lentils. It is rain fast
once dry on the plant. Because it is a contact fungicide, it provides a
resistance management rotation from systemic fungicides.
