Baler belt splicer
Flexco Steel Lacing has introduced a new hinged-plate mechanical belt splice for round hay balers.
The manufacturer says the Alligator Rivet has longer life than typical plate-type splicing, but has faster installation and lower cost.
The Alligator Rivet attaches to the belt with self-setting rivets without removing the belt from the balers or turning the belt over to hammer the underside.
The splice accepts belt thicknesses from 3.2 to 5.6 millimetres.
Each package contains the components necessary for two complete splices.

Auger acts like conveyor
Highline Manufacturing has introduced a new large auger with the handling characteristics of a conveyor. The Accelerator 7510 has a 38 centimetre (15 inch) belt width, is 22.5 metres (75 feet) long and can be raised to a height of 12 m (40 feet.)
The manufacturer says it can move three to four times faster than traditional conveyors. Its rated capacity is 120 bushels per minute. The belt is totally enclosed.
Options include the Viper 180-degree pivoting extension, a 1.8 m (six-foot) hydraulically controlled conveyor section that extends into hard to reach places. Also available are a hydraulic hitch system and a four wheel mover carriage.
