Calving straps
Canora Weaving has introduced a line of disposable calving straps.
The OB Strap protects cow and calf from the transfer of diseases and infections.
Soft edges woven into the strap are gentle on calf and cow, but the weave is strong, safely accommodating 800 pounds of pull.
The width is designed to protect calves legs from injury.
The packages come in multiples of eight, 12, 18 or 24 straps.
The standard length is 40 inches (102 centimetres) but custom lengths can be ordered.

Glyphosate on market
Nufarm Agriculture Inc. of Calgary has received registration for Credit glyphosate herbicide.
Credit contains 356 grams of active ingredient per litre of glyphosate in the form of isopropylamine salt.
It is registered for use in crop and non-crop applications.
It can be used in preplanting in all crops and preharvest in wheat, barley, oats, canola, flax (including linolenic acid types,) peas, lentils, dry beans, soybeans and forages. It can also be used post-harvest.
It comes in 10 litre jugs and in 115 and 450 litre returnable shuttles.

New front-end loader
Leon’s Manufacturing has introduced the Model 510 front-end loader for tractors ranging from 30 to 55 horsepower.
The loader has a lift capacity of 585 kilograms (1,300 pounds) and a lift height of 2.6 metres (104 inches.)
It has a rollback angle of 22 degrees, a maximum dump angle of 56 degrees and five centimetre (two in.) diameter bucket and lift cylinders.
The quick-attach system accommodates a variety of attachments such as high capacity buckets, hay and manure forks, grapple forks, pallet fork lifts and carry-all levelers.
The cup and cone mounting system on the loader ensures a good fit to mount to the tractor.
The unit can be painted to match the tractor.
Leon front-end loaders are made of high quality steel and chrome-plated shafts to prevent rusting.

Diesel cooler
Diesel Services Group has introduced the FSD Cooler, a product designed to extend the life of injection pumps on General Motor’s 6.5-turbo diesel engine.
The FSD Cooler works by cooling the pump mounted driver, or fuel solenoid driver, reducing its operating temperature by as much as 58 C.
This lower temperature extends the life of mechanical and electronic components within the injection pump, improving performance by allowing the diesel fuel to maintain lower operating temperatures.
It also reduces failure rate of the electric fuel supply pump, which transports fuel from the tank to the injection pump.
