The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was $68.27 Oct. 28 and $63.97 Oct. 21.
U.S. hogs averaged $88.03 on a carcass basis Oct. 28, down from $89.52 Oct. 21.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $645-$700 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls and $630-$685 per cwt. for finished heifers. Mature bulls were $525-$575 and mature cows were $525-$575.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$495-$515 per cwt. for bulls and $460-$485 per cwt. for heifers. Prices for mature bulls and cows were not available.
All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were not available.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 352 sheep and 436 lambs sold Oct. 27.
Beaver Hill Auctions at To field, Alta., reported that 1,814 sheep and 848 goats sold Oct. 20.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $380-$440 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $340-$405, 70-85 lb. were $315-$365, 86-105 lb. were $270-$348, and 106 lb. and heavier were $250-$293. Wool rams were $175-$250 per cwt. Cull ewes were $150-$280.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $350-$440, 55-69 lb. were $320-$380, 70-85 lb. were $310-$348, 86-105 lb. were $270-$340 and 106 lb. and heavier were $230-$285. Hair rams were $165-$305 per cwt. Cull ewes were $150-$310.
