The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was $71.09 Oct. 14 and $76.27 Oct. 8.
U.S. hogs averaged $93.05 on a carcass basis Oct. 14, down from $99.05 Oct. 8.

In Canada, the Oct. 11 Signature Four price was $245.23 per 100 kilograms, down from $252.14.
The Oct. 11 Hams Marketing cash price was $243.23, while on Oct. 4 it was $250.23. HyLife was $259.52 this week and $266.46 Oct. 4. OlyWest was $257.70, down from $262.20 last week.
OlyWest 2021 was up, at $263.30, from $262.20, and HyLife’s adjusted price was $268.20 this week, while on Oct. 4 it was $268.20.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $645-$700 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls and $630-$685 per cwt. for finished heifers. Mature bulls and cows were $500-$550 per cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$495-$515 per cwt. for bulls and $460-$485 per cwt. for heifers.

Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 301 sheep and 546 lambs sold Sept. 29.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,783 sheep and 648 goats sold Oct. 6.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $360-$425 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $340-$430, 70-85 lb. were $295-$350, 86-105 lb. were $270-$334, and 106 lb. and heavier were $240-$283. Wool rams were $180-$240 per cwt. Cull ewes were $150-$260.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $330-$405, 55-69 lb. were $330-$400, 70-85 lb. were $290-$343, 86-105 lb. were $270-$320 and 106 lb. and heavier were $230-$275. Hair rams were $165-$225 per cwt. Cull ewes were $150-$260.
