The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available for Aug. 5. It was $84.18 July 25.
U.S. hogs averaged $113.52 on a carcass basis Aug. 5, down from $110.27 July 25.

In Canada, the Aug. 2 Signature Four price was $262.71 per 100 kilograms, up from $258.17.
The Aug. 2 Hams Marketing cash price was $260.71, while on July 26 it was $256.17. HyLife was $278.62 this week and $275.26 July 26. OlyWest was $271, up from $266.40 last week.
OlyWest 2021 was up, at $276.50, from $271.80, and HyLife’s adjusted price was $278.62 this week. On July 26 it was $276.19.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $645-$700 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls, and $620-$665 per cwt. for finished heifers. Mature bulls were $500-$550 per cwt., while mature cows were $500-$550 per cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$485-$500 per cwt. for bulls and $450-$475 per cwt. for heifers.
Prices for mature bulls and cows were not available.

Prices for live bison in Canada were not available.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 85 sheep and 283 lambs sold Aug. 4.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,555 sheep and 477 goats sold July 28.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $300-$385 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $285-$348, 70-85 lb. were $280-$338, 86-105 lb. were $280-$326, and 106 lb. and heavier were $270-$326. Wool rams were $175-$275 per cwt. Cull ewes were $190-$280.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $270-$335, 55-69 lb. were $270-$332, 70-85 lb. were $280-$315, 86-105 lb. were $270-$315 and 106 lb. and heavier were $250-$300. Hair rams were $170-$265 per cwt. Cull ewes were $180-$275.
