Co-op community funding available
Applications for the Co-op Community Spaces program are now being accepted until March 3.
The program, which is run by Federated Co-operatives Ltd. and Co-ops across Western Canada, will provide $1 million to support projects dedicated to recreation, environmental conservation and urban agriculture.

Since the program began in 2015, the program has provided $13.5 million in funding to 189 projects across Western Canada, including community kitchens, educational spaces, hiking trail development and a variety of projects in the hearts of the communities where Co-ops operate.

Drive Away Hunger donations double
Farm Credit Canada recently announced that Drive Away Hunger partners have more than doubled their contributions from last year and donated 514 million meals last year.
The program donates food and funding to charitable food security agencies across Canada.
UFA plans Sask. cardlock
United Farmers of Alberta is building a petroleum cardlock facility in the Global Transportation Hub near Regina.
The facility will have high-speed satellite pumps, wide lanes and an expansive parking lot with overnight amenities such as contemporary shower and washroom facilities.
It is the co-operative’s sixth location in Saskatchewan.
