The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available for Feb. 16. It was $47.57 Feb. 9.
U.S. hogs averaged $67.34 on a carcass basis Feb. 16, up from $63.79 Feb. 9.

In Canada, the Feb. 17 Signature Four price was $183.01 per 100 kilograms, up from $182.48.
The Feb. 17 Hams Marketing cash price was not available, but on Feb. 10 it was $180.48. HyLife was not available this week, but on Feb. 10 it was $193.48. OlyWest was $178.70, up from $176.60.
OlyWest 2021 was down, at $178.70, from $197.70, and HyLife’s adjusted price was $196.40, down from $197.22 Feb. 10.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported that domestic carcass prices for finished bulls were $475-$550 per cwt., hot hanging weight, while prices for finished heifers were $465-$510 cwt.. Mature bulls were $300-$400 cwt., while mature cows were $300-$400 cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$390-$425 per cwt. for bulls and $340-$395 per cwt. for heifers. Mature bulls were $313-$326 while mature cows were $300-$315 per cwt.. All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were C$2.50-$3.70 per pound for bulls and $2-$2.70 per lb. for heifers of good quality or better. The mixed live animal price was $1.60-$2.38 per lb..
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 639 sheep and 506 lambs sold Feb. 12.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,930 sheep and 210 goats sold Feb. 12.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $310-$365 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $300-$365, 70-85 lb. were $280-$338, 86-105 lb. were $240-$329, and 106 lb. and heavier were $220-$279. Wool rams were $110-$210 per cwt. Cull ewes were $125-$170.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $290-$335, 55-69 lb. were $275-$335, 70-85 lb. were $260-$322, 86-105 lb. were $225-$305 and 106 lb. and heavier were $210-$254. Hair rams were $125-$175 per cwt. Cull ewes were $105-$217.
