Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was $49.78 Nov 20 and $52.97 Nov. 9.
U.S. hogs averaged $67.22 on a carcass basis Nov 20, up from $67.01 Nov. 9.
The U.S. pork cutout was $ 86.09 per hundredweight Nov. 20, down from $86.94 Nov. 9.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Nov. 20 was 2.649 million. It was 2.577 million the previous week.
Slaughter was not available last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Nov. 18 Signature Four price was $189.83 per 100 kilograms, down from $190.92.

The Nov. 18 Hams Marketing cash price was $187.83, down from $188.92, HyLife was $201.43 this week, down from $202.91 Nov. 11 and OlyWest was $188.20, down from $188.80.
OlyWest 2021 was up, at $206.10, from $205.10, while HyLife’s adjusted price was $203.36, down from $206.38 Nov. 11.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported that domestic carcass prices for finished bulls was $525-$550 per cwt, hot hanging weight. Finished heifers were $500-$515 cwt, mature bulls were $250-$325 per cwt and mature cows were $225-$275 per cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$375-$415 per cwt. for bulls, heifers were $325-$375, mature bulls were $300-$320 and mature cows were $300-$320. All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were C$1.05-$1.50 per pound for bulls and $1.80 to $2.15 per pound for heifers of good quality or better. Mixed live animal prices were $1.65-$2.25 per lb.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 329 sheep and 805 lambs sold Nov. 13.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,103 sheep and 243 goats sold Nov. 13.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $185-$225 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $184-$223, 70-85 lb. were $185-$234, 86-105 lb. were $183-$225, and 106 lb. and heavier were $175-$210. Wool rams were $90-$180 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$148.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $170-$215, 55-69 lb. were $175-$223, 70-85 lb. were $175-$215, 86-105 lb. were $180-$215 and 106 lb. and heavier were $175-$200. Hair rams were $90-$125 per cwt. Cull ewes were $80-$117.
