The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available Oct. 20 or Oct. 27.
U.S. hogs averaged $66 on a carcass basis Oct. 27, down from $67 Oct. 20.
The U.S. pork cutout was $86.40 per hundredweight Oct. 27, down from $87.97 Oct. 20.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Oct. 27 was 2.423 million. It was 2.403 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.436 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Oct. 28 Signature Four price was $194.71 per 100 kilograms, down from $199.63.

OlyWest 2021 was down, at $208.80, from $215.70 while HyLife’s adjusted price was $205.98, down from $210.64 Oct. 21.

Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 716 sheep and 725 lambs sold Oct. 23.
Beaver Hill Auctions at To field, Alta., reported that 1,792 sheep and 558 goats sold Oct. 23.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $170-$214 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $165-$208, 70-85 lb. were $165-$194, 86-105 lb. were $165-$194, and 106 lb. and heavier were $164-$284. Wool rams were $80-$140 per cwt. Cull ewes were $60-$140.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $150-$185, 55-69 lb. were $150-$180, 70-85 lb. were $115-$192, 86-105 lb. were $155-$182 and 106 lb. and heavier were $155-$182. Hair rams were $70-$175 per cwt. Cull ewes were $60-$150.
