JCB has launched a compact telescopic handler with a three-tonne lift capacity and six-metre lift height.

The British company has just introduced the JCB Loadall 530-60 Agri Super, and says it offers significant performance and productivity advantages.

The machine was designed to meet the needs of livestock farms that have narrow aisles and passages.

It caters to the needs of pig and poultry units in particular by combining power and traction with compact dimensions, especially when working inside buildings with restricted height.

JCB Agriculture managing director John Smith said the new Loadall “provides big power for small spaces, with an 11 percent increase in lift capacity, more than six percent increased lift height and 19 percent more engine output within a low and narrow package.

“It has the flexibility for buyers to prioritize the lowest overall height or maximum underbelly clearance to suit their particular requirements, improved visibility to the right and over the shoulder, thanks to a lower engine pod, and a simpler two-range hydrostatic drive unit with smoother, more refined control,” Smith said.

Power is provided by a 4.8 litre stage five emissions compliant JCB DieselMAX engine with peak outputs of 130 horsepower and 404 foot-pounds of torque, which is combined with a new two-speed hydrostatic transmission.

This combination delivers a 25 percent increase in dynamic tractive effort over its predecessor, the 527-58 Agri Plus, the company said.

JCB’s established VariSpeed control provides separate engine power and ground speed adjustment when using hydraulically-driven attachments like a bucket feeder or sweeper.

It is one of the shorter machines on the market with an overall height of just two metres on the 20-inch tire option, which ensures sufficient clearance to work beneath poultry house feeders and drinkers lifted clear for the cleaning-out operation.

To suit outdoor work on muddy and uneven surfaces, the unit is also available on 24 inch tires for maximum ground clearance and traction. With these tires fitted, the overall width is just 2.1 metres and even less on the 20 inch tires at two metres.

The new Loadall has a JCB Smart Hydraulics package featuring regenerative hydraulics for fast but controlled boom lowering, Smooth Ride System boom suspension, boom-end hydraulic cylinder damping, and bucket shake with minimal control input.

It also has improved cab visibility and many features that had been optional are now standard.
