Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available Aug. 10. On Aug. 3 it was $77.32.
U.S. hogs averaged $95.95 on a carcass basis Aug. 10, down from $100.55 Aug 3.
The U.S. pork cutout was $110.08 per hundredweight Aug. 10, down from $115.63 Aug. 3.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Aug. 10 was 2.280 million. It was 2.308 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.303 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Aug. 12 Signature Four price was $247.56 per 100 kilograms, down from $247.71.

Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 392 sheep and 612 lambs sold Aug. 7.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,634 sheep and 232 goats sold July 31.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $200-$235 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $190-$230, 70-85 lb. were $190-$227, 86-105 lb. were $200-$233, and 106 lb. and heavier were $200-$253. Wool rams were $90-$190 per cwt. Cull ewes were $85-$193.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $170-$215, 55-69 lb. were $180-$215, 70-85 lb. were $180-$225, 86-105 lb. were $200-$220 and 106 lb. and heavier were $200-$230. Hair rams were $90-$160 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$180.
