The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts July 7 was $73.78. It was not available June 29.
U.S. hogs averaged $97.25 on a carcass basis July 7, up from $94.00 June 29.
The U.S. pork cutout was $107.94 per hundredweight July 7, up from $102.90 June 29.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to July 7 was 1.8 million, down from 2.259 million the previous week. Slaughter was 1.853 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the July 7 Signature Four price was $224.96 per 100 kilograms, up from $218.34.

Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 737 sheep and 1,167 lambs sold June 26.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,589 sheep and 516 goats sold June 26.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $180-$220 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $190-$237, 70-85 lb. were $200-$255, 86-105 lb. were $210-$305, and 106 lb. and heavier were $215-$293. Wool rams were $98-$275 per cwt. Cull ewes were $80-$135.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $150-$180, 55-69 lb. were $170-$200, 70-85 lb. were $180-$225, 86-105 lb. were $195-$286 and 106 lb. and heavier were $210-$268. Hair rams were $140-$210 per cwt. Cull ewes were $75-$145.
