Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts May 26 was $62.43; on May 18 it was $64.12.
U.S. hogs averaged $75.69 on a carcass basis May 26, down from $78.98 on May 18.
The U.S. pork cutout was $82.20 per hundred weight May 26, down from $83.73 on May 18.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to May 26 was 2.351 million. It was 2.328 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.334 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the May 19 Signature Four price was $198.57 per 100 kilograms, up from $192.82.

Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 211 sheep and 338 lambs sold May 15.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta. reported 1,251 sheep and 307 goats sold May 15.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $220-$290 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $240-$290, 70-85 lb. were $225-$265, 86-105 lb. were $220-$256, and 106 lb. and heavier were $220-$246. Wool rams were $95-$189 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$175.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $200-$250, 55-69 lb. were $230-$276, 70-85 lb. were $220-$261, 86-105 lb. were $220-$235 and 106 lb. and heavier were $210-$235. Hair rams were $120-180 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$145.
