Ben Campbell of Tullichewan Ranch near Black Diamond, Alta., is the 2022 winner of the Outstanding Young Farmers of Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
Campbell and his family are working to reconnect people to their food by opening their ranch to the public for tours and explaining how the animals are raised and handled.
The ranch offers consumers a direct-to-market, grass-fed beef option called Grazed Right.
With a passion for environmental sustainability, Campbell said the cattle are a tool to manage ranch ecosystems and support their grazing business model.
