S3 Group buys Ontario company

The S3 Group, headquartered in Swift Current, Sask., has bought TEMP Farm Equipment Ltd. (OBA AWS Airbar Worldwide Solutions) of Mitchell, Ont.

AWS is known for its air bars that introduce airflow into the header of a combine, reducing shatter loss, increasing yield and improving ground speed.

The product is sold with dealer networks throughout North America, Europe, South Africa, Australia, and Japan.

The rotors used in AWS’s air bar are manufactured by S3 Air Systems.

Operations of AWS will continue in Mitchell and Mark MacDonald, AWS operations manager, will take on the role of general manager.

AWS joins S3 Air Systems, S3 Manufacturing, S3 Wireform, and S3 Delta as a member of the S3 Group, with operations spanning five facilities and two countries.
