U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts is $55.75 Feb. 19, up from $49.54 Feb. 12.
U.S. hogs averaged $69.22 on a carcass basis Feb. 19, up from $65.38 Feb. 12.
The U.S. pork cutout was $91.49 per hundredweight Feb. 19, up from $88.38 Feb. 12.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Feb. 20 was 2.438 million, down from 2.654 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.611 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Feb. 20 Signature Four price was C$173.87 per 100 kilograms, up from $165.06.

The Hams Marketing cash price was $171.87, up from $163.06, HyLife was $171.87, down from $176.26, and OlyWest was $167, up from $159.60. OlyWest 2021 was $184.10, up from $177.40, and HyLife’s adjusted price was $195, up from $186.85.
Bison
Prices offered by Canadian buyers for slaughter in Canada start at $3.50 per pound hot hanging weight for Grade A bison bulls and heifers on light trading. Canadian buyers are offering $5 for prime bulls and $4.80 for heifers for slaughter in the United States.
U.S. buyers are paying US$4 per lb. hot hanging weight for prime bulls from Canada for U.S. slaughter, where slaughter times are booked. Heifers are being purchased at $3.80. Returns to producers are dependent on exchange rates, quality, transportation and export costs.
The sheep, lamb and goat reports were both unavailable last week due to the holiday.
