The investigation continues into the theft of a truckload of beef from the JBS plant in Brooks, Alta., which occurred Aug. 30.
Cpl. Rob Harms of the Brooks RCMP said Sept. 16 that there were no new developments regarding the disappearance of the beef, valued at about $230,000.
According to an RCMP media release issued earlier, the truck responsible for taking the reefer load of beef was travelling under fraudulent documents and a name listed as Transport Pascal Charland operating out of Chateauguay, Que.
The truck was a burgundy-coloured unit with a sleeper and the trailer was white and unmarked.

The person driving the truck was described as a slightly balding Caucasian man who is tall, with a heavy build and short brown hair, and wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt, safety vest and surgical mask.
The same possibly fraudulent trucking name is connected to a case of stolen hot tubs from a business in Thorsby, Alta., in early September. In that case, RCMP said an unmarked white Volvo semi hooked up to a flat-deck trailer containing seven hot tubs, which remain missing.
