James Richardson International Ltd. has boosted its ownership share in Canbra Foods to 94.7 percent.
The Winnipeg-based agricultural firm, which also owns Pioneer Grain, had until Aug. 9 to purchase outstanding shares of the Lethbridge, Alta.-based canola crushing and refining company.
The next step is for JRI to proceed with the statutory compulsory acquisition of the remaining Canbra shares by Aug. 16, according to a JRI news release.
When that happens, JRI says it will apply to have Canbra delisted on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
