Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$61.36 per hundredweight May 10, down from $61.94 May 3.
U.S. hogs averaged $80.80 on a carcass basis May 10, up from $78.94 May 3.
The U.S. pork cutout was $86.16 per cwt. May 10, up from $82.01 May 3.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to May 11 was 2.341 million, down from 2.382 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.306 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the May 11 Signature Five price was C$197.06 per 100 kilograms, down from $197.59 the previous week.

On a per hundredweight basis, the price was $89.39, down from $89.63.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$5.10-$5.50 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.30 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$4.90-$5.10. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.10.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 1,435 sheep and lambs and 25 goats sold May 6. All classes sold higher. Good sheep sold stronger.
