Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$61 per hundredweight April 26, up from $59.56 April 18.
U.S. hogs averaged $79.62 on a carcass basis April 26, up from $77.93 April 18.
The U.S. pork cutout was $84.27 per cwt. April 26, down from $87.85 April 18.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to April 27 was 2.341 million, down from 2.380 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.356 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the April 27 Signature Five price was C$197.44 per 100 kilograms, up from $189.41 the previous week.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$5.20-$5.50 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.30 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$5-$5.20. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.15.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 1,435 sheep and lambs and 25 goats sold April 22. Well-fed lambs sold $10-$15 higher. All others sold steady.
