Nominations loom for ag hall of fame
May 1 is the deadline to nominate an individual for the 2019 Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame.
The organization annually recognizes Canadians who have made lifelong contributions to the agriculture and food industry. Nominees are evaluated on vocational endeavours, leadership and vision.

Nominations are accepted until May 1 for the Canadian Beef Industry Award for Outstanding Research and Innovation.

To be eligible, nominees must be actively involved in research of benefit to the Canadian beef industry within the past five years.

KAP hires new general manager
Patty Rosher is the new general manager of Keystone Agricultural Producers.
Before joining KAP, Rosher was the policy director at Manitoba Agriculture. She previously held the role of director of boards, commissions and legislation with the department, and before that was the acting general manager and chief executive officer of the Food Development Centre.
Rosher also spent 17 years at the Canadian Wheat Board in policy, program management and marketing.
