Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$37.93 per hundredweight Feb. 22, down from $35.55 Feb. 15.
U.S. hogs averaged $46.76 on a carcass basis Feb. 22, down from $48.51 Feb. 15.
The U.S. pork cutout was $59.01 per cwt. Feb. 22, down from $63.03 Feb. 15.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Feb. 23 was 2.512 million, down from 2.514 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.392 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Feb. 23 Signature Five price was C$124.48 per 100 kilograms, down from $127.48 the previous week.

On a per hundredweight basis, the price was $56.46, down from $57.82.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$5.30-$5.60 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.30 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$5.10-$5.30. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.15.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 718 sheep and lambs and goats sold Feb 18. All classes of sheep, lambs and goats sold steady on a light run.
