Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$59.45 per cwt. June 29, down from $62.47 June 22.
U.S. hogs averaged $76.69 on a carcass basis June 29, down from $79.97 June 22.
The U.S. pork cutout was $87.38 per cwt. June 29, up from $85.64 June 22.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to June 30 was 2.239 million, up from 2.168 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.200 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the June 23 Signature Five price was C$194.83 per 100 kilograms, down from $198.41 the previous week. On a per hundredweight basis the price was $88.37, down from $90.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$5.90 to C$6 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.60 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$5.80. American buyers are offering US$4.40.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 609 sheep and lambs and 79 goats sold June 25. All lambs sold $5-$7 cwt. higher. Good sheep traded steady. Goats sold steady.
