WINNIPEG (Staff) – The Canadian Wheat Board has announced a special open delivery program for wheat, durum and feed barley. The program is being offered on a one-time basis only.
Farmers must deliver any remaining supplies of wheat, durum and feed barley into the primary elevator system no later than July 14.
The open delivery call is for tonnage not already committed under board contracts. A contract is not necessary for the open delivery program.
The board said good sales opportunities will allow the remaining supplies of Prairie wheat, durum and feed barley to be delivered prior to the increase in rail freight rates effective Aug. 1.
