WINNIPEG, February 2 – The Canadian dollar lost roughly half a cent against its US counterpart Tuesday. Gains in gold bullion were overshadowed by losses in crude oil.
The Canadian dollar closed at US$0.7129 or US$1 = C$1.4027.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index fell 232.11 points, or 1.83%, to 12,442.26.
