Vetavision is the event for anyone who has ever wondered what veterinarians do.
The biennial event returns to the University of Saskatchewan’s Western College of Veterinary Medicine Oct. 2-3 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Visitors will be able to tour the school and see displays about veterinarian medicine. All displays will be interactive and cover topics such as large animal medicine and surgery, radiology and anatomy. Most displays will include live animals.
There will also be daily videos and guest speakers discussing a wide variety of topics.
The event will give pre-veterinarian students and interested members of the public a chance to meet some of the school’s professors and learn more about the profession.
Vetavision has been running since 1970 and serves as an open house for the school and the veterinarian profession.
More than 4,000 people attended the 2012 event, including school groups and clubs, 4-H members and members of the animal health and agriculture professions.
