At $5 per pound, Colton Frenzel of the Del Bonita 4-H Beef Club was likely happy with the sale price of his grand champion steer June 13 in Lethbridge.
The 1,362 lb. steer topped the Lethbridge and District 4-H show and sale, held June 12-13, which involved six beef clubs.
Taylor Bellew of the Milk River 4-H Beef Club showed and sold the reserve grand champion, a 1,548 lb. steer that sold for $3.50 per lb.
Bronwynn Frenzel of the Del Bonita Beef won the overall showmanship award with Alley Handsaeme of the Lethbridge-Coaldale club placing second.
