Wheat fell about one percent Tuesday, adding to the four percent drop on Monday after weekend rain gave good coverage to the dry U.S. southern Plains.
More rain is expected in the region this week, rescuing a crop that had been under stress prior to the rain.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture late Monday rated 42 percent of all U.S. winter wheat as good to excellent, down from 44 percent a week earlier.
The Kansas hard red winter wheat crop had fallen to 28 percent good to excellent, down from 33 percent the week before.
