A mandatory rail service review currently set for June 2015 will start this summer, Transport Minister Lisa Raitt said Monday afternoon.
Raitt made the comment during a joint appearance with Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz before the Commons agriculture committee.
It was her first appearance in front of the agriculture committee as minister of transport.
Last week, Ritz told reporters in Ottawa the review would be pushed up to “this calendar year.”
