Many biblical references to man and his enemies on battlefield

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16.

Amen to that, brother, but its significance at an NFL football game seems hazy.

We’ve all seen fans at sporting events holding signs writ large, giving chapter and verse of particular Bible passages. John 3:16 is one of them.

Some extensive research has yielded several Bible verses that have more of a football flavour than John 3:16.
