Cargill expects to resume processing at its beef plant in High River, Alta., Wednesday.

Brigitte Burgoyne said in an email that the company is comfortable that it will have access to a steady supply of water from the town of High River. Cargill plans to treat the water to potable levels.

“Potable water to the residents of High River is a priority.  Cargill will work with the town to make sure this local need is met,” said Burgoyne in the email.

The plant plans to begin slaughter tomorrow, then hopes to resume further operations later in the week.
