Canadian Financial Close: C$ firm amid broad USD weakness

WINNIPEG, Oct. 13 (MarketsFarm) – The Canadian dollar was stronger on Wednesday, as broad weakness in the United States dollar internationally provided some relative support.
The Canadian dollar settled at US$0.8035 or US$1=C$1.2445 on Wednesday, which compares with Tuesday’s North American close of US$0.8025 or US$1=C$1.2461.
West Texas Intermediate was down by 0.1 per cent, at US$80.56 per barrel.
The TSX Composite Index was stronger, up 181.35 points, or 0.89 per cent, to close at 20,618.47 points.
