Lloyd Mickalyk of Calgary brought his 1947 John Deere AR to compete in the Sept. 26 tractor pull at Coyote Flats Pioneer Village. He has about 15 tractors and has been coming to the Picture Butte, Alta., event for about 10 years.

Tractor consoles were a lot simpler in 1947 than they are today.
