Beef industry selects leaders

Rancher Larry Garrett of Vanderhoof is the newly elected president of the British Columbia Cattlemen’s Association. John Anderson of Merrit is vice-president.

Garrett has been involved in various committees within the association, including chair of the livestock industry protection committee and a director of the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency.

As well, the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association has named David Moss as general manager effective June 1. He is replacing Rob McNabb, who is retiring.

Moss is a former manager of the Alberta Livestock Identification Services and has had considerable experience in beef production, including feedlot management and animal health. He was also a board member of the Canadian Round Table for Sustainable Beef.
