SUNDAY UPDATE: Prairie rain system shifts south

The adage is: If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes.

The outlook for the rainy system crossing the Prairies this week as of Sunday morning has changed from the forecast on Saturday.

These newer maps from the U.S.National Weather Service Weather Prediction Center (WPC) [http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/qpf/day1-7.shtml], now show the heaviest accumulations shifting south from the expectation on Saturday and less rain for Manitoba.

These maps from WPC issued Sunday morning illustrate the movement of the system.
