ICE Canada canola falls to nearly four-week low

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Aug 30 (Reuters) – ICE Canada canola futures fell on Tuesday to their lowest in nearly four weeks, pressured by fresh sales by farmers, a big harvest approaching and concerns about demand.

* January canola gave up $3.10 at $460.30.

* November-January canola spread traded 1,867 times.

* Chicago November soybeans dropped on strong U.S. crop condition ratings.

* NYSE Liffe November rapeseed and October Malaysian palm oil eased.

* The Canadian dollar was trading at $1.3083 to the U.S. dollar, or 76.44 U.S. cents at 1:20 p.m. CDT (1820 GMT), lower than Monday’s close of $1.3023, or 76.79 U.S. cents.
