Online learning available

With the COVID-19 crisis, it is difficult to meet in person and participate in learning events. Farm Management Canada offers opportunities to stay connected online to advance farm business management practices.

Farm management resources:

  • the website has several presentations on a variety of farm management topics, including more than 200 archived presentations from industry experts.

Applications sought for Bayer scholarships

The Bayer Crop Science Scholarship for Future Leaders is accepting applications for more than $125,000 in scholarships available to Canadian students across two programs.

For students already in university, applicants must be enrolled in an agriculture bachelor’s degree program at one of six eligible Canadian agriculture universities.

Each scholarship is valued at $5,000 annually and awarded to students who have demonstrated their leadership, engagement and contribution to agriculture through their academic, volunteer/community involvement or their extra-curricular activities.

The deadline to apply is April 30.

The Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship is for graduating Grade 12 students entering their first year of post-secondary education in agriculture, food science or a culinary program at a Canadian university or college of their choice in the fall of 2020.

Up to 65 scholarships valued at $1,500 each will be awarded to students based on their academic standards and community leadership.

The application deadline is June 10.
