Transportation snapshot: Week 45

Shippers report that rail service is meeting demand to the three major ports. Port rail car unloads in week 45 were five percent slower than the four week moving average and 12 percent lower than last year.

The number of ships lined up at Vancouver fell by five to total 16, which is more than usual, confirming good demand. Prince

Rupert had seven ships lined up compared to the usual two to three.
