Transportation snapshot – week 40

Continued strong demand is indicated by steady vessel arrivals.

The Week 40 vessel lineup at Vancouver decreased by five, to a total of 18, which is more than the historical average of eight to 12.

At Prince Rupert, the vessel count increased by one to six, with the historical average at two to three.

Year-to-date shipments from port terminals for Week 40 are 28 percent higher than the same period last year and 26 percent higher than the five-year average.
