A brush with gold

Olympic mania may be on hiatus with the end of the Vancouver Paralympics last weekend, but it’s still fun to have a brush with Olympic gold. That’s what Western Producer reporter Mary MacArthur found.
She was on hand when Adam Enright, of the gold medal-winning Canadian men’s curling team, visited his alma mater in Rosalind, Alta., on March 16. Her story will appear in the March 28 issue of the Producer and be posted on this website shortly after that date.
But after doing her reporting job, MacArthur got to try on Enright’s gold medal and hold a hockey stick used by Sidney Crosby in the Olympic hockey final.
Here’s a photo of Mary basking in reflected glory.mary-and-medal
